Character Personality: Leia is an immensely strong woman with a powerful and commanding presence despite her diminutive height. Fierce, sharp-witted, and strong willed, once she sets her mind to something, there's very little that can stop her from accomplishing it. She cares deeply about the galaxy and its people, having committed herself to fighting for their freedom and safety throughout her life, putting her duty to them ahead of her own desires. Despite being raised as royalty, she has little taste for titles of nobility, preferring to define herself by her actions and what she could do rather than by wealth and status.
Still, no one who meets Leia would be be surprised to know that both of her mothers were Queens. She possesses remarkable leadership qualities and is able to keep her composure even during humiliating situations such as diving into a garbage chute or strangling Jabba the Hutt with her own chains. She did inherit her father's temper though, and is very much not a woman to cross without good reason.
Despite her diplomatic skills and a commitment to Alderaanian values of pacifism, Leia is still a woman of action, willing to fight fiercely for the galaxy's freedom. She's very hands-on in her leadership and eager to get things done, sharing a certain amount of impatience with her brother Luke. That was her chief frustration with politics; though she would rather achieve things by rule of law than with violence, she dislikes having to deal with self-interested politicians who debate everything endlessly to the point that very little actually gets accomplished. She's not the type to stand by and wait for someone else to solve a problem if there's something she can do, constantly striving to make a positive difference in the galaxy.
In short, Leia is an idealist, and remains so in spite of everything she's experienced in her life. She's passionate not just about the 'big picture', but about people. As a General in the Resistance, she knows everyone under her command by name and recruited most of them personally, and from her earliest days of political involvement has been a committed humanitarian. Perhaps Leia herself put it best; "I feel like because I can fight, I have to, for those who cannot."
Powers and Abilities: Like her twin brother Luke, Leia is immensely strong in the Force, though she has never really trained as a Jedi. After her birth she was left with lasting impressions of her mother in the Force that not even Luke had, and has otherwise been shown to have strong Force senses, such as when Luke- having failed to contact Obi-Wan and hanging weak and helpless beneath Besbin's Cloud City- instinctively reached out to her with the Force. Leia was able to sense him and guide the Falcon to his location. While she was shocked to learn that she and Luke were siblings when it was revealed to her, she said that deep down, she'd always known. She was able to sense Han's death from halfway across the galaxy and that Luke was alive after the destruction of the second Death Star, as well as feeling the disturbance in the Force caused by the destruction of the Hosnian System. She was even able to sense the lingering dark presence of Darth Maul in the Theed Royal Palace, dating all the way back to his fight with Qui-Gonn Jinn.
Luke also believes that her immense strength of will and her strong 'gut feelings' are at least partly manifestations of the Force in her.
In more mundane abilities, Leia is a renowned diplomat and capable mediator. She's had training in public speaking, being able to give speeches, as well as in self-defense- including how to resist interrogation. During her youth on Alderaan, she also learned how to ride, becoming the the Alderaan junior champion in the steeplechase.
She's also had years of flight training, and is capable of piloting a Lambda-class shuttle, as well as (when necessary) the Millenium Falcon. She was able to manually pilot a Naboo N-1 starfighter through Naboo's planet-wide storms without an astromech droid much like seasoned Rebel pilot Shara Bey, and destroy several climate disruption arrays before saving Bey from a TIE fighter. She's rarely used such skills however, as she was usually provided with or resorted to the help of other pilots to get to her destinations.
She's also an excellent shot with blaster pistols of all shapes and sizes, and was able to destroy a TIE fighter with an All Terrain Armored Transport's heavy laser cannons during the Assault on Cymoon 1.

Network: [Leia appears seated on a chair in a simple but elegant dress with a datapad in her lap.] Greetings, Nautilus. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Leia Organa-Solo. I arrived here relatively recently, and so I'd like to begin this transmission by offering my sincere thanks to everyone who stopped to help me when I first arrived. Being brought here is enough to throw anyone for a loop, and I was no exception.
The main reason I'm here today, though, is that I'm hoping to do an opinion poll of sorts. My father once told me a fairy tale about a Queen who walked the entire length of her kingdom to find out what her people wanted, and while that's impractical at best under anything resembling real life circumstances, the principle is sound. So I'd like to know all of your thoughts on the current state of Nautilus. In what area are we, as a city doing well, and in what areas do we need improvement? And for the latter, are there any sort of public works projects that you think could help in those areas?
Though I do ask everyone be both serious and realistic in their project suggestions. No, we won't be turning any buildings into giant jelly babies even if it would be fun for a little while, and the chances of being able to put an end to reality storms are slim to none, so kindly take those sorts of things into account when you respond.
Third Person: Alright, this was officially surprising. Leia might even go so far as to call it startling. She'd been walking down the hall to the command center, her morning cup of caf in one hand, data-tablet in the other. More and more Hosnian survivors were turning up and arrangements had to be made for them. Meanwhile, they themselves needed to relocate; too bad, she'd rather liked D'Qar. All that combined with the usual logistical problems of running the Resistance, and it added up to Leia getting very little sleep.
Which is why she wasn't entirely surprised that she was feeling rather off that morning. And also why, when she heard a voice in her head say 'Wake.', she sarcastically replied 'What do you think the caf is for?' Then she'd stepped through the command center door... and found herself outside. On a planet that was definitely not D'Qar, nor any other she recognized. And where she couldn't feel the Force.
Well, kriff. "I've got a bad feeling about this..."
When no one and nothing immediately responded to her statement, verbally or otherwise, Leia began to take stock of her situation. What did she know and what did she have? Whatever planet she'd been brought too it seemed to be inhabited, and given that she wasn't immediately surrounded by a squad of stormtroopers, it was unlikely that said planet was in First Order controlled space. A promising beginning. She had her data tablet, a cup of strong caf, her sidearm, and full possession of her wits, even if she was without her connection to the Force. Whatever power had brought her here obviously wanted her alive and unharmed, at least for the time being; the loss of her Force connection was suspicious, but she'd gotten along perfectly well before she'd known she had the Force and she could get along perfectly well without it.
And speaking of getting along, standing around wasn't really getting her anywhere. She took a sip of her caf, tucked her data tablet under her arm, and set off in the direction of the settlement she could see in the distance. Time to find out where she was and what in the nine hells was going on.
